How do I restore Scanlink from Avast quarantine?

Avast antivirus software may incorrectly flag Scanlink as a threat and quarantine it, resulting in an error stating "The file requested could not be located or executed."

To resolve this, restore Scanlink from Avast's Virus Chest.

1. At the bottom right corner of your screen, click the arrow to open your Windows system tray, then right-click on the yellow Avast icon and open Properties.

2. Click "Scan" on the left, then click "Quarantine (Virus Chest)" at the bottom.

3. In the list of files, find "Scanlink.exe".

4. Right-click on it and select "Restore and add to exclusions", then click "Yes" to confirm.

5. Click "Overwrite" to restore Scanlink.exe to its original location.

You should now be able to re-open Appraise-It and access Scanlink normally.
